With the heather in full bloom I decided to attempt a few shots up on the wonderful North York Moors. My first stop was just above the village of Goathland. The sky wasn’t amazing upon arrival but the sun soon came out giving good evening light.
Next stop was upper Bridestones which is on the Grosmont road. Along the way I spotted a nice car and asked if i could take a couple of photographs of the car and the heather. The gentleman in the car was only to pleased to help. He was sat eating fish and chips, listening to classical music whilst looking out over the moorland heather. What a fantastic sight.
My final destination was Danby Beacon which I must say looks absolutely splendid at this time of year. Whats more is its often deserted up there. Beautiful moorland and complete tranquility, what more could you wish for on a lovely summers evening in late August.
Whilst on the moors this evening I found this very strange stone carving. No-one seems to know what it is over on my Facebook Photography Group. If you have any ideas I would love to hear from you in the comments section below or on my Facebook group Here.
Many thanks for looking. As always I would love to receive your feedback in the comments section below.
