I was in town attempting to photograph some of The Steam Punk Weekend at Whitby. Usually when I pass the bridge end its the same old acts doing the same old tunes.

However, today, it wasn’t Sax man doing yet another rendition of George Michaels Careless Whisper. Stood right there at the bridge end was a beautiful young lady, doing something unique. Dumbstruck by this girls talent, I Decided on a Facebook Live post to my photography group. As you can see, it was received amazingly well by the group members.

This is Alexandra Kirby who Im told is from Scarborough. But don’t worry folks all is not lost, many of this girls family originate from Whitby. She is a relative of The Lavery family who lived in Castle Park for many years. Seems we can at least claim a bit of her for oursleves here in Whitby 😉

Singing Bob Dylan’s epic “Make You Feel My Love” Alex absolutely nailed the song. Im sure this Girl will go a long way in life. I feel this won’t be the last we hear of her.
