I recently took the 2 hour drive to Appleby for the annual horse fair. This was a first for me, but it was thoroughly enjoyable and I shall certainly return in the future.
Given the bad press that the Gypsy and travelling community recieve I was a little dubious about visiting the event at first. However after a few hours there I soon worked out that the evnt is quie safe to visit and that 99% of the people there are good people who welcome you to thier event.
I spent a couple of days in the town centre, and then visiting the campsite on an evening. The campsite was a great place to visit and everyone I met there was very welcoming and happy for me to photograph them. Infact many people came to me and asked if I would take their photo’s. This was a first for me at an event.
The photographs below are just a few of those I took at Appleby 2015. The full set can be viewed on my Facebook Group here.
Some of the best photographs of The Appleby Horse Fair I have ever seen. These images are so clear and sharp, totally awesome yet again.
I will second that Andrew, fabulous photographs and please check the rest out on Facebook you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Glenn a job well done.
Its an event I enjoyed so much. I love to photograph people in a candid style.
